Need somewhere with reasonable housing costs, plenty of space, modern infrastructure and a government that doesn't dish out cash to the ungrateful and lazy population. Any ideas?

Sweden, Norway or Finland.

They're on my wish list.

On a serious note, I'd vote for either France or Sweden personally. Yes

^ You need a large amount of savings and a professional skill for example a GP to be able to stay there long term though iirc

Oz does NOT have a modern infrastructure.
France is no different to here for the most part. Just sunnier.

Austria is the only one mentioned that ticks all your boxes

Yep, and also austrians are generally better people than germans, still I would not move there eventhough I live 400km away from the Austrian border.

True, But it suffers from all of the problems someone from the uk might be looking to avoid when asking for a modern infrastructure

Australia is Rubbish. I was there 6 months. Its a hotter version of England with less people and f**king big spiders but better beaches with s**t in the sea you dont wanna mess with. You cant get a full pint of beer anywhere and they call flipflops 'thongs'. Best thing I saw was about a billion bats all flying in the sky. Worst thing was this massive spider on a tree, so I burnt it with my lighter.

That basically.
Most countries are overrated and ive found the "grass is always greener" thing to be true many a time

Nowhere really then, you could always make your own country up.

All of Europe is struggling to get work as they have financial problems too, blame greed and the very rich not the dossers so much. If there was enough work, enough apprenticeships, enough paid wages then there would be far less out of work, system is run the wrong way really, bosses get masssive pay rises etc yet others get fook all, wtf for?

I don't think it matters where we live there will always be an issue of some sort, we can't ALL be happy.
