So, Thought I'd just change the engone oil last weekend.
Couldn't get the jack under.
Saw some bricks near by, rolled the car onto the bricks and braked.

The car rocked forwards off the bricks, the bricks flicked up and sat in the sills. Blush Sad Cry Cry Cry

I now need to find someone who can pull the fcuking sills back down. Unsure

Oh and 2 sideskirts. Speaking of which, how do they come off? the things holding them on are round all around.

Please be nice. I've only just come to terms with it. Sad

I always use the cars jack to jack one side up on the sill enough to get the jack under the sub frame then on axle stands.

they are glued and riveted, you can drill the heads off the rivets and slice the sealant with a sharp knife and they'll come off. i am not sure if they are sealed from factory or not actually, but i seem to recall mine being. maybe they'd been off before and bonded back on

has it damaged the actual chassis itself then?

you should have just lifted the car by the arch by hand and got someone to push the jack under

Well I've learned that. The hard way I might add.

Get a stick on spot welder and pull them out with a slide hammer, or weld a bolt and do it that way.

I cant get my trolly jack under my 6 n it has standard ride height so no.

The metal is pretty thin, I pulled out a sill dent by the fuel tank inlet with nothing more than a G-clamp and muscle power. The plus is the thin metal makes it easy to pull out, minus is that it would be easy to stretch it. I would not try putting an allen key through the rivet hole and pull out dent, it will tear the metal around the rivet hole.

My sill covers were not bonded, just riveted in door shut and underneath, with 3 plastic clips into each rear quarter (some of which are NLA so be careful dislodging them). The rivets are difficult to drill out in the normal manner as the centres are steel and the rim is alloy so the drill bit will not stay centralised. The way is to drill out the alloy bits and pull them off with pliers to get side skirt off. This leaves the steel bit of the rivet there, then cut rivet heads off flush with sill with cutting disc, and use a punch to push the end into the sill.

Once you've fixed the sill you will want to shoot cavity wax inside as bending or welding the metal will break the surface of the paint inside giving rust a chance to start. That's why I had to get my sill fixed if you look on my project thread. Also see my method of reattaching sill covers.

-1 for being an idiot!

With the rate that shells are being scrapped I would just change to another shell. Probably cost you less than sorting out your rails would and would leave you with a better result!
