I was just wondering how many cherry red gti6 (phase2) were made and how many are left today.I can not recall seeing one before and wondered if its a rare thing? ________________________________________ 178bhp 205gti6¼ mile in 14.2 |

I thought cherry red was only phase 1? Never seen p2 myself other than rallyes in that colour. |

Well you learn somthing new everyday.. Apologies for not living for the 306  Never seen one on the roads so must be fairly rare. |

They are very rare especially the later phases. I started a thread ages ago asking the same and Jon (thugpuggin) did post up numbers. I'm guessing that's been auto deleted as I can't find it and can't recall the figures but they were thin on the ground back then.The guy Stan mentioned had the nicest one I've ever seen. I don't know if its something they changed with the paint but all late cherry cars other than his seem to fade worse than the phase 1's. Re Machine polishing, it will make it shine but won't bring it back red unfortunately. ________________________________________ Ryan |

I had cherry phase 2, sold it few months ago and it was definitely still red! Never seen another phase 2 though, seen, 1, 2.5 and 3 on here.________________________________________ If you aint first, your last! |
