Looking at getting a new battery since the last one had a terminal failure, is it worth going for a Bosch S3 or something like that or just bang in a normal off the shelf motorfactors one?________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! If it helps, I bought a Bosch S4:http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Peugeot_306_2.0_1998/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/electrical/car-battery/?444770127&1&4afa0c98978dd9366e9fbec60d6b76d8310458e2&000020 I got it for £49 delivered with a promo code though which by all accounts is very reasonable. If an S4 is overkill a bosch S3 is only £46 delivered: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Peugeot_306_2.0_1998/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/electrical/car-battery/?444770125&1&fa9a428de66fcabdcc4af424a68f1cca99e8532f&000020 I did have to put something under the S4 to make it tall enough for the terminals to stick up out of the battery box enough though. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Was looking at the S3 on ECP as it goes, was just wondering if it is worth the extra for the higher ones or just go for the S3?________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! Project Thread Looking for: VTS P1 Rack PR1.2 16" |

Check the CCA of the previous battery and see how close to that the S3 is? If it's not far off and you were happy with the old one before it died then that should be okay I'd have thought.I got the S4 because it was extremely cheap at the time and that's definitely more than enough so even if it loses a fair bit of power over time it should still be good for a long while yet. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

The previous battery went ages ago, it was dead to the world so scrapped it. Well I've got the S3 in the car now and it turned over fine. Just need to get some jerry cans to fill the fuel tank now and I can fire it up and bleed the cooling system________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected!
