you need to figure out what the dish "should" be to give 8.5-1 on the RFS, then compare the differences and work from there.
Std gasket thickness - RFS - 1.20mm.
Gasket bore - 87mm.
1998cc / 4 = 499.5cc (per cylinder)
Total clearance volume:
499.5cc / (8.5-1 compression ratio) = 58.77cc.
Gasket volume : 87x87x3.14159x1.2mm = 7.13
RFS chamber Vol - 37cc.
therefore dish should be circa 14.64cc.
so: RFS dish + RFS gasket + RFY head
14.64cc + 7.13cc + 40cc = 61.77.
499.5 / 61.77 = 8.08-1.
I believe that's all correct, sounds about right to
You do need to confirm how much lift @ TDC you can run.
I did roughly measure the valve centres and they are the same between RFY and RFS at 40mm, also centreline distance from the side of the combustion chamber to the face of the valve measured in at the same 25mm, valve sizes are very close also, so if the piston designers have given you enough clearance on the radius of the valve cutout you'll be fine.
