My impreza was a very fast car rolling roaded at the flywheel made 443 bhp 470lbft, felt faster than Richards super high boost but the speedo told a very differrent story torque makes it feel quicker than it was The reason they don't feel 400 bhp quick is because the power is all at peak revs you need to spank the arse off them for it to feel 400 bhp. IMHO

The c38 requires different pistons and I would love to start with a fresh build to go with the rebuild of the Dimma.
I'm not selling anything for a while as I'm away with work for 3 months.

I'm thinking about using the Dimma as a time attack car and if I do iv got a complete spare engine, charger etc to keep me going!

Iv had some silly offers already for the complete car and iv turned them down so it would have to be a good offer if I did sell one of the engines but including the charger and kit

Keep the engines Ollie you never know when you may need them, sad truth is they cost far more to build than there worth. Thumbs up

My car made 410bhp on Wayne's rollers, it never lost power in the time I had it and then it made 350bhp, something is a miss.

And the m3 made 328bhp on evolves rollers, nothing wrong with it.

Most m3's have f**ked vanos though, I've kept up with plenty of e46 m3's, but my mates 3.2 is surprisingly quick, but that could just be that it's actually running the bhp it should lol

I've also had a race with a lambo, and kept up with that, figure that one lol

Your 350 reading was bulls**t maybe lol

Iv just been taken out as a passenger in my car and it feels mental in the passenger seat!
I love the fact that u can give it some beans yet still drive it like a normal 306 and it doesn't act like a highly tuned engine!
Its always putting a smile on my face and that's all that counts not bhp figures Smile

I'm not selling anything until I'm back from afghan as I'm going to use that time to research more into time attack, if I do enter I will be keeping every spare iv got!
I regret selling the 4 pots and 17" pro races and more or less gave them away!

I planned to last Sunday at a charity meet but they didn't turn up!
Don't mind £20 but any more than that just for a bit of paper that I can take to the pub with me is not worth it in my opinion.
My local one wants £70

£70 - fcuk that, don't blame ya.

It would be great if you could get it on one like, it would clarify if I was given a magic 400+ figure to make me happy or not, and put some truth behind the actual power these cars produce.

When my M3 wasnt supercharged but with carbon airbox and 7100 revlimit vs the zx turbo with 328, i couldnt really hang to it on the highway, it was a bit quicker until the zx hit its topspeed

Given its weight a M3 wouldnt touch a 350bhp 306... the 350BHP 306 would spank it

When the Vortech V1 Ttrim was on the M3 it was a different story ,lol

Did you investigate:

Boost leak?
Wheel slip on rollers?
Ignition timing?
Knock?

It was a hub dyno.
Boost was normal at 19psi
No knock or timing issues.

The curve of the graph was exactly the same from when I had my 410bhp RR, which leads me to think about 3 options.

1. I was given the magic 400+ figure to make me happy.
2. My engine was fooked in the 1st place
3. His dyno is way out and these high boost engine's arnt as good as ther supposed to be.

Oh... My car regularly did 13.1sec quarter mile times, as did a few other members with the magic 400bhp+ figures from a certain RR.

13 sec 1.4 is slow for a 400bhp 306.... 60ft of 2.9 secs?
