Hi all

I am currently renewing many worn out components of my gti6 as it is going on 15 years old now.

It currently has the factory suspension. Here are my requirements!! LOL

Around 30-40MM lower all round. (possibly the ability to adjust height??)
Stiffer ride, however not ridiculous as I will travel around town.
A set up that will offer a good balance for use around town and spirited country driving. Making sure the awesome handling is not hampered.
A budget of around $2000AU...I think that is about 1,400 pounds.

I am located in Melbourne, Australia. So most likely I will need to order components from abroad.

I'm not an expert on suspension!!

All suggestions welcome Big grin

Cheers

Dom

Bilstein b8 shocks with lowering springs up front, b6 shocks on the rear, 21mm torsion bars and a 25mm anti roll bar. Then put fresh pug wishbones and arb links and whatnot on with fresh passive mounts on the back. Make sure the rear axle is not shot too. That should serve you well on the roads.

Dom.

I am supplying a rebuilt axle to someone over there.

Lowered, with thicker torsion bars. He also stated your roads are shocking! So he has asked for o/e mounts fitting.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the thicker arb.

As for the front of your car. I wouldn't stiffen it up too much. Lowered with eibachs, using your standard struts and new wishbone bushes should see a difference
