I think this looks promising... no doubt the car will perform the question is... will Loeb be able to drive that thing like Ari did or will he s**t his pants. I am really looking forward to June 30th. |

Loeb is sadly a god... Cant stand him. As for him s**tting his pants, not a chance. Wish the hillclimb was still gravel and Loose not like it is now just to see the comparison....they are testing 29th!!!!________________________________________ 306 less for first time in nearly 7 years. Loeb is anything but a pussy. If you've ever watched any WRC in the flesh he is actually visibly quicker and closer to the limit than the others. He might not be really competitive on his first go though. It is a shame they've put tarmac down the whole route, however I've never really been into the modern pikes peak stuff anyway. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

It was Tarmac or no Pikes Peak. As far as I'm aware environmentalists were campaigning to get the race closed due to the erosion occurring on the dirt roads. It's the lesser of two evils. There are plenty of mountains around and if motorsport picks one to play on then I think that's fair enough, the mountain will be there long after we are nothing but a footnote in a history book. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. In that case I totally understand why they've done it, but it's still a shame. I love the old footage of cars leaving huge dust trails going up the hill. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

I preferred the black/naked carbon theme than the white Peugeot sport they did now. On another note has anyone seen the 900 bhp Mini the T16 will be up against ??? Loks mighty impressive toohttp://www.autoblog.nl/nieuws/mini-900-pk-gaat-pikes-peak-gevecht-met-peugeot-aan-59382 Only in dutch thou... |

OK the Mini theya re using if anyone knows about this stuff is basically a Dacia based car Dayraut was using over the past few years, its GTR powered. The Other main rivals are Rhys Millen in some Hyundai thing and a Le Mans guy called Romain Dumas in a sort of very powerful Radical called a Norma. Loeb's car is factory, he is a total God so hopefully should win! Tajima in the Escudo is not there in that but running some Eco electric thing. All are awesome, but I have more of a hankering for Rennison and Doran in teh RS200's, truly great car! |
