I went out in a car with this combo ( i think, ill check)
I was shocked how planted it was tbh..
Obviously might be slightly harsh on the road.

Should be fine, do some experimentation with the rear damper settings though, my GAZ shocks were on the hardest setting when they arrived and the back end was very lively. Start around 4-5 clicks from the softest setting and go from there. (I think there were 14 clicks soft to hard from memory)

thats good to know. like i said i want to best handling i can get from this car, i already have the parts, minus decent lower arm bushes although i could have richw bearings from a mate. want to make the most of standard power as A, i dont know what route to take and B, its going to take a little while to finish/start building a decent engine

Highest setting on the KWs on mine, standard rear end otherwise.
Its too much for road use, just had a massive moment on a bumpy B road. Was going a lot slower than in the 406 too Crazy

Thats the KWs. But the car is very light on the rear end.

Smooth roads its bloody insane the grip level to be fair. Very similar feel to the ASTs I had before, maybe a little less compliance though.

Ok, i got these KW's from a mate who had just about every chassis mod you can get for a 306 plus the car was totally stripped out, to be fair the handling was amazing yes ok when shocks were on hardest setting the car did want to skip about over bumps, plus the hybrid ARB certainly made wet handling a little interesting, but thats another story

Really? I liked the hybrid bar in my old car, felt a load more planted.
The KWs are just Konis anyway, nothing special.

Just turret the rear and be done LOL

the hybrid totally transforms the car, but only if its dry and smooth! i thought KW's are pretty much the best you could get for this car

Nope, for the run of the mill stuff the KWs are one of the best. But it's like anything, you get waht you pay for. For racing they wouldn't get a look in, it's all names like Penske, Solution F, Ohlins, Fox, Black Art Designs, AST and so on. Koni, Gaz, KW is all fast road stuff.

You won't go far wrong with KW or Gaz, but get Gaz golds, the lesser shocks are a bit pants. Oh and the anti corrosion finish on the Gaz shocks doesn't last five minutes.

I've had kw v2 on my 306 for the last.. erm.. 7 years (had to count the years Big grin). Can't remember the settings for the rear I made back then (the rebound adjusts) but I find myself adjusting the front end quite often actually. Just yesterday I made some minor adjustments to make it feel the way I want it to.. I set it to quite stiff when driving around normally, feels better when it's not that bumpy.. But on the track I set to almost the softest settings.. I've done some trials on the track, with almost every setting on the front end and found that softer is better there. It doesn't lift off so easily at corners on rainy days - thing I don't want to happen at 90-100mph at track Big grin

But on the road it's fun to throw the rear end around with lift off at lesser speeds. Wink

Too bad the rear ones aren't adjustable by a knob on the outside of the shock - they have to be removed to make adjustments. That's why I haven't touched 'em after installing.

The KWs have been a very nice addition to otherwise Peugeot Sport GrpN parts I have on my car's suspension.
