Not really, I'm only 13 ft's away from that figure with 1998cc's

But a fair amount of money on a NA engine, The normal parts really and good inlet/exhaust design

say we had a 2.1 bottom end, sandy/colin inlet and bodies plus cams that are useable on the road, what sort of torque figures would we be looking at?

go 2.2 and you'll be near the figure Miles says with very mild cams.

They still rev quite well, you just don't need to.

That conversion on the 309 looks very tidy fair play

I get why he doesnt want one tbh, I LOVE high revving v6's
The only way i would get a v6 conversion is if it could rev to about 7.500K
And sadly im not sure the aftermarket bits exist to get you there.

they do.

pretty sure the V6 would rev through the gears quicker, given it has 200 lbft for quite a lot longer than a 4 pot does.

I had a read through DrSarty's thread briefly last night, with an MI16 head, it was only a PeterT stage 1 inlet cam, rest of the spec was forged pistons 92mm crank and 87mm bore, 2188cc, peak power at 6.5-7k ish IIRC.

The V6 certainly bangs through the first fear gears quicker than the VTS and the 6 box, but then it would do as it is much, much quicker.

5th is quite long legged which is nice.

I'm unsure of the gear box, the engine came from a Xantia Auto, so could be any! Long 5th is very good for cruising.

You could put a v6 engine in the boot not connected up and it'd still be an interesting race though Razz
