I've gone to attempt to fit the 406 Brembos I bought, along with the 16" wheels I had off Greenbelt and they are fouling on the spokes of the wheel. I assumed that 16's would fly over them but now they don't I'm debating what I can do. Since they are correct offset, sticking 20mm spacers is not going to be the best. Is there a disc that is recessed back rather than fitting flush to the hub and can I bracket the caliper back to give more clearance at the hub.Or I am thinking of flogging them, do 16" PR1.2's clear them no issues ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! Different piece of kit entirely, they are radially mounted and not at all similar in shape. You are going to need spacers. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. How much is it fouling by? Just buy thin spacers or go to a machine shop and get some knocked up. It'll cost not a lot andbe pperfectly fine. And you wont have 1.2's like everyone else. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

As above, just use a really small spacer. No need to stick 20mm on there if it s only fouling slightly. Does it help at all if I tell you my wheels clear them with heaps of space? And they are 15's! ________________________________________ 205 Van SC'd GTI6 - because why not309 Goodwood V6 - sold 205 Rallye GTI6 - Bent |

Nah I didn't want to spacer them out 20mm, when I lower it I would have had an issue with fouling the wing. Especially since it is going to be a track car where the suspensions is at the limit on corners. These are only my track wheels aswell, I'm getting a set of PR1.2's for everyday driving, just sorting the car out first and then worry about spare sets of wheels later on________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! I ran the 406 setup under 15s with 3mm spacers. You won't find those wheels cheap though. All depends on the spoke clearance, the 1.2s fitted on the 406 and over 310s on the 306. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Well I've agreed with Fordy to trade on his Turini's which he has had fitted over the 406 Brembos so I know that they do fit. I'm going to be getting a set of 1.2's at some point, just once the car is complete. I wondered why everyone went for the 1.2's and now it has all become clear ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! I would have had rubbing issues and they would look stupid, plus the extra stress on the hubs. Change them and getting the correct thing that fits. First dibs on the wheels if they do go, I'm sure we can come to a deal? ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! What he meant was use a 5mm spacer or something like that so you wouldnt notice and gain clearance. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

I would need about 15-20mm for it to clear really so a 5mm one would get me nowhere, it's a damn shame since I love the wheels________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! Project Thread Looking for: VTS P1 Rack PR1.2 16" |
