Hi folks, does anybody know anything about a black rallye reg T572MLE?
I'm going to view it tmmrw with and for a friend.
He really wanted the Astor git6 and I wanted him to get it also as I love that colour but even after he won the e bay listing at the asking price the seller never replied to several messages so he then bidded and won a moonshine git6 at the buy it now price with low mileage, the seller didn't reply to several messages again until today where he has informed my friend that unfortunately his wife/partner has been involved in a serious car accident and is in hospital in a poorly way, then went on to say he's decided to keep the car now so she can run it when she's better.
So third time lucky for Kenny, hopefully this rallye will be good enough to meet his requirements, says it has coilovers and a scorpion exhaust, I reckon the coilovers won't be staying on it if he gets it, I wonder if there them cheap crap ones (forgot the name) or something decent like gaz.
Andy

Standard answer is that it was involved in a milk float incident, many people and animals died as a result including some Corporal, "Jeff" and a black poodle, lives were shattered as a result especially Roland Rat who apparently still suffers from this and also has many pictures of the said car in a sorry state (all which can be PM'd only) yet he also seemed to be the one who put it back on the road in a dangerous condition and the car only ever ends up in the hands of newbies. thugpuggin can always confirm all of this too as he supplies many parts for the rebuild and the easy way of checking if its been rebuilt is to check those spot welds behind the door seals hidden beneath copious amounts of sour milk and cheese. Every other forum member will know about this incident and repeat the same comments about how they're surprised this is back on the road over and over for many pages and jsoulman will at some point stuck some part of this car up his ass for no apparent reason...

...such a shame you're not a newbie Sad

Not if he's read my post. Also according to the other thread, "Jeff" is dead too so there's another to the body count.

It was way too low, sat on its area, wishbone s pointing upwards.
Cheap coilovers
Engine bay was untidy and dirty
Rot was setting in fairly badly on the whole boot floor and surrounding areas
Front chassis areas dented from a Jack and rot setting on badly here and around.
Paintwork a mess
Rear bumper had a Bulge where it had been repaired at some point
Rear end chassis leg had a very small kink in, probably caused when the rear bumper needed repairing.
And I didn't look any further than that

Seems as though the whole milk float / jsoulman's ass thing wasn't so bad compared to how it turned out.

Thats a shame, if you could have taken it away for pennies then it probably would have been worth saving!

He wants a minter rather than one he's constantly chasing repairs on and still not 100% happy with at all times, we didn't even bother starting it or anything.

this car was mine then, but beware as the mileage is plus another 88k miles! I bought it cheap when it was 3 years old, it was at auction and had a new speedo fitted so had just 6 k on the clock, but the service history showed it having had a speedo change hence why it was cheap! It keeps popping up and still looks good but said service book has been lost! all its history now is from 2004 onwards! but an hpi check or mot history check should bring up the change.
