Hi guys!
This issue has had me confused for a while, I have replaced and the brown sensor and bitron/cooling fan relay and the thermo fans come on when the brown sensor is unplugs, but not at the certain temperature. Dunno

Would I be right to assume there is a broken/corroded pin and the connector behind the front bumper where it screws/connects to the thermo fan housing?

- Brad

More than likely, yes. Yes

I had a look at it today when I took the bumper off and I was wondering the best way to disconnect the plug, it unscrews from the engine bay side, yeah?
I tried from the top and there is very little hand room and couldn't get it. So I decided to clean the bumper while it's off.

Anyway, whats the recommended plan of attack to unplug it? Smile

Grippy gloves or I usually pop a thin screwdriver in one of the slots and give it a tap. There's a tab where it's clipped in a slot. Giving that a slight pry I find can help.

Tip with the screw driver worked wonders! Wink
There was a pin that had a fair bit of oxidation, so I cleaned both connectors with contact cleaner, and I cannot tell that they had been oxidised. Hopefully that was the culprit and I shall try in the morning! Thumbs up

Sounds like you've made some headway at least, good luck for when you try it out. Thumbs up

The car hit 100 and no fans came on, manually engaged them via a switch to cool the car down and turn it off. Sad

What could be the culprit otherwise? Dunno
