The remote on the HDi stopped working to lock and unlock so I popped a new battery in and it's still not working.

Any ideas? Nothing's been removed or changed recently, it just stopped working out of the blue.

I've not got a spare remote for this car, so is there a way I can test the receiver at all to narrow down the fault?

Maybe the fob requires reprogramming if the battery has gone completely flat although they don't usually lose their settings if the battery goes flat.

It'll either be EMP exposure or those little swarming mites from The Day The Earth Stood Still, with Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly, which was broadcast the other day.

When you do find out the solution, post for all to view. My spare has the same issue and I should probably sort it at some point.

No - I just use the key in the door lock like in the old days.

I feel even better about it now that we share the problem.
