Thought I'd start a progress blog on my new Rallye.
I sold a mint Lil silver Gti and quickly got on the phone to put a deposit down on a black 1999 306 Rallye.

Bye bye Gti, hello Rallye.
I have previously owned a Cherry Red Rallye but always fancied a black one (Rallye I mean) .
Pic of the Cherry below

Now then!
84,500 miles
Long Mot & Tax
Stupid amount of service history
No rust and immaculate bodywork
Engine gearbox and clutch are 100%
Pulls like a trains!
Full service history
Cambelt, waterpump, tensioner, headgasket done in the last 600miles with receipts.

Mods-
Superchipped
K&n cone filter
Custom Powerflow stainless steel exhaust with sports cat
Feredo pads & grooved discs (stops very well)
Brained brake lines
PugRacing gear linkages
Nissens radiator
Twin fan setup
Ecotek clean burn unit fitted
Omp upper strut brace

173bhp

Ran outta space on the floor at this point..

And it begins..

Plans are-
New standard exhaust
Refurb cyclones in anthracite
Repair small rip in drivers seat
Fit head unit and standard parcel shelf

Excuse the delay, my exhaust started blowing like a motherf**ker from manifold. Turns out one of the manifold bolts fell off!
After new decals and a quick polish.

Removed the old pedal covers and went back to smaller pedals. Found myself braking and accelerating at the same time due to the lop on the bottom of throttle pedal!

MOT fail with those pedal covers you had on too. I had to cut my Sparco covers to get the required clearance for passing the MOT, don't quote me but I think its 50mm minimum between pedals these days.

I agree with Jim,

A well polished Onyx Rallye with silver Cyclones is the nuts Thumbs up

Something like this is what you need to be aiming for Love Love Love I believe the wheels are in shadow Chrome Wink one of Ratboys previous squeezes...

Done deal! That silver is gorgeous. The Cyclones could do with a refurb anyway so why not. A slightly darker silver maybe?

Happy Easter! I'd bet that a good few of you were outside, tinkering or going for a blast. I did both. I first off I replaced the Sports Cat and with a decat that came with the car. Result? Hmm not ideal. I noticeably less torquey and needs to be revved more. Great for a track car, not so much a daily. 20miles later the cat is back on.
On a positive, I popped a flame.

With decat fitted I met up with another Rallye, ain't it cute? Looks the business and seems to handle corners really quite well.
Few snaps below, comments welcome.

My old car!! Love Still miss it to this day... can't beat a black car polished!

It was mine before Ratty got his hands on it. Can confirm the wheel's were refurbed in 'shadow chrome' by Carl Mech Rep's. Kind of looked like a darker silver, got a few close up's of them here for you...

Lovely colour! I've been looking on Ebay to find a good match. I gave the car a polish yesterday, can't have all these shiny Rallyes spamming my thread;-)

Reminiscent of my old China 6,shot in the same spot.
