Today my total mileage stopped going up. I did about 240miles today, 80 of which didn't go onto the total mileage. The rest did, seems to be intermittent

I have to track my miles everyday for work expenses and today the odometer gets to a certain point, for example on the way back from Brighton I hit 49.6 miles then it stops going up further.

On the way down there it got to about 87.3 then stopped.

So odometer and total mileage both stopped going up.

Bare in mind Brighton is circa 100miles each way for me!

My VSS has been dodgy for about 6months now and think that might be related? It drops out daily then normally comes back but today its been dropping out for much longer periods!

All other dials/rev counter etc work fine. The bulbs are also fine

I reckon you just transported yourself like the Tardis without building any mileage up, intermittently turning up at the point you spotted me on the A27 Wink

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time

There's your answer. Yes

If the speedo has dropped out, then it won't be recording mileage as according to the speedo you are not travelling anywhere. Smile
