Thinking of selling my X-reg Gti daily commuter for something a bit more spicy.

It is currently lightly modified but can easily be put back to standard if wanted as i have all the standard parts in my garage.

Silver 2000 model
2 previous owners
10months mot, 3months tax
93k miles (used daily so will increase)
A lot of history, mots to verify mileage
Non sunroof

I'll start with the bad bits..
-ABS light on
-Movement in gearstick side to side due to gear selector arm pin wear. This has never bothered me, still selects gears smoothly and without crunching or grinding . to be fair, most probably won't even notice the playSmile
-missing drivers side inner plastic wheel arch
-Only one key

All mods below can be put back to standard in a day.. This will lower the price.

-BMC DIA induction kit
-4-2-1 manifold
-Full 2" Pugsport
-Compbrake quickshift
-Baker BM lower engine mount
-Xsara washer jets
-LaminX yellow tint fogs
-Nissens aluminium radiator

Standard Raptors, good thread
Standard suspension and ride height
MINT interior! Not a single mark or rip. Early gti leathers, late Gti dials
Two pronged head, engine uses no oil or water

New discs and pads all around a few months ago
Full service this week
Starts first time every time, comes to temp nicely, fan kicks in when it should and Idles smoothes out of all 16vs I've owned.

This is well cared for and driven with respect.
Anyone who has seen this or my previous cars will be able to vouch for this.

I'll let the pics do the talking, was going to pop it up for £1400.

Looks lovely!

How's the clutch, suspn, calipers etc? How much would it cost to get the gear pin done? How loud is the exhaust?

Seems a reasonble price if all in good order Thumbs up

What you gonna get instead?

Clutch has been done when a replacement gearbox was fitted at 88k miles. Feels sharp and light as it should.

Front calipers are fairly new, not sure when they were replaced but I have the old ones here. I haven't bothered upgrading to a 266mm set up because they are really snappy for the standard set up.

The pin is a weird one. Most people drill them out and replace with a big bolt bit I've previously tapped it out on other cars with a hammer and Allen key, replacement bolt is £1.39 from Peugeot iirc.

The Pugsport is loud. But it's something I've come to accept because it pops and bangs and is very raspy. Standard exhaust will be included anyway.
Few members on here have seen the car and a couple have been passenger and it does go well if needed.

I am after a Gti-6, 306 Rallye or just a plain standard 1.3 106 Rallye.
The Gti is great but I've been spoilt with 16v Rallyes in the past and it doesn't quite fill that void. Great (semi) sensible commuter with a nice bit of poke on tap if needed.
