Only reason I ask is.cos before mine was mapped it was running really rich and when you went on the throttle it would die. ________________________________________ 98 onyx black 306 Rallye53 Nissan Primastar silver (work horse) 58 black Volvo c30 sport |

Tell me if I'm wrong, but if its a faulty crank sensor, the engine wouldn't start?________________________________________ 98 onyx black 306 Rallye53 Nissan Primastar silver (work horse) 58 black Volvo c30 sport |

Definately sounds like a TPS fault. Had mine do the same thing a while back. Even without a laptop you can check it using a multimeter. Think it'll be an EFi Euro 1 ecu, which I believe needs a silly expensive cable to connect to. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

Have you tried starting the car on high throttle? When TPS's go faulty its usually only for a short part of the entire range, and mostly at lower ranges as they are used more. Or you could start it and quickly move it past the lower range to higher load points to see if it revs up or not. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

Mine takes some throttle when starting when it's been sat for an age. Usually have to maintain some throttle so it doesn't die. Otherwise with more regular use it's fine. It adds character at least.________________________________________ |
