Managed to melt a coilpack yesterday, like this: So need at least one pack with some wiring but also concerned about the others TBH, are the coilpack wires plugged into the loom or do they just "appear"?  ________________________________________ Lots of Nissans, two 306 GTI-6's. They are catching up! |

The coil pack wires are part of the loom mate and hard wired in not plugged in  |

No worries mate, I reckon the pack itself failed and if its only two wires I should be OK - hopefully I can get a replacement with a plug already on it and I should be fine. I'd be inclined to change the entire loom if I were you ? Bit of job and need to remove inlet to get at the whole engine loom but I'd want a complete loom othe coils not repaired as could cause future problems. Up to you though but for the sake of £40 for a loom and a free couple of coils that I could do for you I know what I would do  |
