every now n then.... randomly my heating fan will switch itselves onto full for a few seconds for no particular reason. regardless of the fans switches current position. this only happens in the few minutes after starting the car, and bares no correspondance to the cars bumping shaking or moving.

hence me not thinking loose connection as this would happen intermitantly throught the car journey instead of in the few minutes after starting the car

any ideas guys???

the fans themselves work perfectly fine.....well as far as i can tell with a AC model

Also, with the fan position set to 0 position i still hear a fan whiring very slowly behind the passenger glove box. is this normal?

thanks for the advice in advance

jim

You could need a new heater control panel, or it may just be loose.

The fans always run on cars with A/C

he would be laughing if it wasnt for the fact its been recalled once more for the same problem with the breaks.

they have "found" the problem this time "again" :s and ironically it will cost about the same as i payed for my whole vehicle to fix.

my tele downstairs turned itself on for no reason at 3am a few days ago.

i reacon its me and my untrained psychic abilities imbueing the spirit of the machines to animate.

or it could of been the worn through/de-sheathed wire i found after an extensive look behind the dash (good shout smegal). well....at least that explained my cars dicky fan fits
