I'm thinking dodgy TPS or throttle cable? I've got a heating issue as well, but will put that in another thread.

Recently the engine in the road car seems sluggish to respond to throttle movements. In the track car when I blip the throttle it revs quickly and fast. In the road car it revs slowly and not as much. Every now and again it'll not return to the normal idle position as well, about 200 RPM higher. All it takes is a tiny movement of the throttle to get it back to normal. I'm thinking dodgy TPS or throttle cable? I've got a heating issue as well, but will put that in another thread. ________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Replace the throttle cable anyway, simple job and only costs about a tenner, makes the world of difference if the old one is rusty and horrible. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Yea, thought the same anyway. I gather replacing the outer sheath is a PITA though? ________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Not really, far easier if you have the inside of the car stripped out through. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Mine was GSF, definitely not £40. Not even a clutch cable was that much!________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |
