Right Iv got a aly 90 degree bend but it's 57 mm dismay or I'd I buy an adaptor ring to fit onto my throttle body as I no it's a bigger dismay or will it cause problems using a smaller diamator pipe?

What filter are you putting on the end of it? If it's a GTi6 fitment one, I personally would buy a 90 degree 76mm hose and do away with the ali pipe.

If the filter is 57mm like your ali bend, then a step down hose from 76mm off the throttle body would be your cheapest route.

I've used ASH in the past (auto silicone hoses) and found prices very reasonable. http://www.autosiliconehoses.com

The filter is k+n same fitment as the Ali bend that's why I though my cheapest option would be to by a step down attachment but just wondered if it would cause the engine harm by having a smaller diamator piping really
