Does anyone have any feedback as to how much better a Rallye would be with a basic strip and all new bushes/dampers
I am just deciding whether to remove rear seats etc and sound deadening etc but not heater etc
Any opinions
I am a fat bas**rd as well lol
Also lower front and rear strut brace any good ?
Cheers

Just sort the suspension.
Its hardly a fat tub o lard anyway.
Unless its a track car.
In which case, Carry on sir.

BTW if you do find your rear struts, Yes they are perfectly normal, Its a Phase 2 thing.... I have a good beam here you can have that will be much better, Dont worry about paying, Just send me the struts and all the gubbins to mount them.
No worries..

When you strip it the arse end will lift so you'll have to lower it.

Before I did anything to my Rallye I took it to the strip & the best I could manage was a 15.45...
Without touching the engine, just stripping it & a decat I got to what's in my sig belowWhistle

Cool

Ok then excluding the rear strut brace faupar which turned out to be a harness bar lol like the ones sold by davey boy.
general consensus is that seats carpets and stuff out won't harm sort the bushes out for new,
Mine is already very low so will not need lowering any more

personally i think you either strip it properly and lose serious weight from it and have it as a track car, or keep it standard. not only does it make it colder, louder and more unbearable inside, it'll eventually p**s you off and you'll put it back to standard

I have to agree with Rikky as far as it "p**sing you off" goes don't think I could live with a stripped out car for on the road and certainly not a daily... and I like having passengers to scare with my driving Wink

As others have said, it's really all or nothing. I stripped mine to the nth degree and loved it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. If its a daily spend money on handling and braking mods and apart from better seats and a wheel I'd leave the interior alone.
