ebay item number 190786569479 (sorry - don't know how to do link from phone)

Nice looking 309 Goodwood, always fancied one of these, only thing I wasn't keen on was the grandad wooden steering wheel! Worth the money?

Cracking motor...wooden steering wheel is classic. Looking on mobile cant see any description so p**s poor advert. Good mileage and should fetch that price all day if genuine. Got to be rarer than rocking horse s**t....

There's also a 309 gti that would probably be a nice project for someone.

I've always fancied a 1.9 309 gti as well.

Goodwood looks very niceThumbs up

This grey Gti looks a good one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-309-GTi-2dr-205-GTi-Mi16v-306-GTi-6-/111002582731

Odd coloured rear light units thoughWink

Anyone looking for a 309 Gti look out for rot, majority require welding of some sortThumbs down

I've had 3 309 Gtis, would have another but not as a daily driverNo feel well old using them dailySad

This was my second one(first was a s**tter I took no photos ofLOL )

Gives you some idea of its conditionWink

So after circa one month on the road this happenedAngry :

Bus driver said I was 'in his blind spot'Roll eyes

So she ended up like this after I bought it back off insurance:

Some of the parts were then put onto a shell I bought:

It soon got converted to a Xsara VTS eng/boxWink
Transformed the car totallyYes Best thing you can do to one of these, bin the horrible old 8vThumbs up

Ha ha is that one of the above photos with the wheel learning further towards the bumper, thought it looked funny.

Lovely pair of 309s. What happened to the white one in the end.

Sweet Jesus they were nice examples! Huw has now stripped the interior from the white one and fitted a full SD cage. Think its now on yellow Bilsteins too. Still a tidy looking motor, but he's not into his show n shine so much!

You best hurry up then as they are getting rare by the day! According to howmanyareleft, there are only 60 Goodwoods left on the road Shock I always wanted one so bought this one just before Christmas

Wheels are being changed for some SL434's, Anthracite with polished lip, lights going back to clear and changing the back box too. Big grin

The one below is what my dad raced in the '92 Grp. N Championship, factory backed LHD 16 Valve

He still prides it as one of his favourite seasons racing, one of the best cars to drive, Peugeot factory backing, winning at the silverstone GP meeting, beating the Vauxhalls and ultimately taking the championship and being offered the following seasons Peugeot BTCC drive.

I really like them, I suppose I've got a soft spot, dad said they were a really well balanced well engineered car

Did many 16 valve ones ever make the UK shores on the road?

this is why I HATE Kev, 309s always make me miss my first of hundreds of pugs G90AHP Andys happy pug or ugly pug as it was first called. Was an ex silverstone car with a few gp A bits and a 405 sri 1.9 in it... that evolved into the first 306 s16 engined on carbs in the country and broke everything after gettting it to around 200bhp in 1996-7-8 heres some old pics.. yellow bumpers was my first ever rally and it was 2nd in class and 9th overall in a large field due to having great tyres and Not enough horse power to kill myself..

2nd year same event with s16 fitted...

a few of my pugs from mid nineties all did Epynt rallies, the grey 205 gti rolled on killeerny way epynt but still finished, just.

my first national A rally, then went on and did ypres a few months later after getting my int license...

I had two lhd 309s S16s one road car reg H###ASK in miami blue and still around though cant find it as i would buy it back tomorrow and the other a yellow group A rally car I owned for a weeks and sold and never competed in( regret regret regret) there were about 50 bought in I am told but have no factual evidence, mine was a personal import at 5 years old and had it 2 years.... brilliant handling, far better than any of my 205s... alot like the 306 but a few uyears older....Big grin

Dad said he proffered it to the 1.9 205 in a fair few ways, especially running to the rules that governed development on the cars

There were never any UK registered though we're there and weren't they 1.9 16 valve? What engine was that?

This car was built by Peugeot for Patrick watts who won the championship in it in '91 too

Dad sold it at the end of the'92 season to a rally champion in ireland, I think his name was Austin Machale
