Just received this,...

David – we have been informed by a number of customers that you have launched a personal attack against me on a public forum.

My solicitor has obviously been informed and my legal team are currently compiling evidence for a case against you.

I would like to give you the opportunity to give me a call and let me know what it is i have done to you, as from our invoice records we have never done any business with you, and i dont recognise your name from my personal life. I

I have been provided with all your details as below, please clarify that they are valid as i am really offended by your attack.

You can call me at work anytime from 6am until 7pm – if you call 0116 2751414 and asked to be put through to me it would be good to be able to understand how i have offended you.

Kind Regards

Darren Spooner

I think he gets the idea guys!,...

I'd be surprised if a solicitor got involved over a mug! Laugh my ass off

Add a solicitor too the mug now? lol

If he acts like a c**t to people he should at least expect something in return. I've read people losing out on £1200 cause he refuses refunds :s

Laugh my ass off do it and we'll all pay your legal fees (i will pay the first £10)

what you getting done for? slander? you haven't slandered him, and everyone else has only posted their own or friends accounts of actual experience of said company

you haven't advertised your product in advance, you are responding to a genuine business enquiry and i don't think by just chucking something up that anyone could have drawn in photoshop means you have actually endorsed your product from what i can see yet

doubt you can be done for 'cyberbullying' either. will ask my mrs, she knows a thing or two, what working as a solicitor Wink

tbh i used to get stuff like that sent to me all the time when i used to host questionable websites and content. i was terrified

    ... naaaatttttt!!!

I blame Carl!! He saw him last!

His legal team have been informed! What is he now some kind of corporate company! What a cock! and as for the cup I want a pair now, One "I got mugged by Darren Spooner" and two "Who's the grass that blows Darren Spooner"

Look forward to receiving my order as it's something Spoox know nothing about! "Completing an order"!

And for his solicitors and legal team! "Suck on my chocolate salty ball"! Maybe all that have been ripped off can get they're legal team to sue his incapable ass for faulty, overpriced and inadequate service?????

Ignorance isnt good enough imo, it sounds like more people have had problems than ones that have had decent work done.

Seems either arrogance big style or has a big mental block of all the customers that has had an unprofessional service.

Dave - You've done nothing wrong so I wouldn't worry about it. Smile

As said, people have been asked by the OP what they thought of the company in question and people have responded with actual tales of reality and personal experience. All people have done is exercised their right to freedom of speech.

As for the mugs, you're a graphic designer and you were asked by a few members to create some designs for a mug. You did so, you haven't advertised them here (let alone anywhere else), sold any or even had any produced. It's no different to someone asking you to make a design which says "306's are terrible cars" on a mug and then Peugeot suing you. LOL

At the end of the day, the question you have to ask yourself is this:

If the company in question have enough spare cash lying around to employ a solicitor over a graphic design supposedly intended for imprinting onto mugs, where have they got the cash from? One hypothesis is that it could have come from the people who have posted in this thread explaining that they have been "ripped off" so to speak. Dunno

Another hypothesis is that it's just a simple scare tactic (I'm going with this) and that they probably can't be bothered with the hassle/publicity. Dunno

As I say, I haven't had any dealings with the company or individuals whatsoever, they could be the most reputable company in the French car modifying business, however, usually there's no smoke without fire in my experience...Wink

I must admit I am surprised that a fairly well known Peugeot specialist doesn't appear to operate or advertise on many forums.

As Stan quite rightly says, There is no wrong doing here, What has happen is as follows:

Customer is quite rightly miffed at a purchase and opens a topic about his dealing with said company after complaining himself - No wrong doing there

Members of said forum post their on opinions (Free speech) and experiences - Again nothing wrong with that

You produced a mockup for a laugh based upon said customers experiences but didnt sell it, Even if they did you dont actually make the mug yourself anyway Smile

He clearly messed with the wrong dutch guy LOL Had he supplied a good qaulity product then I have a feeling that this wouldnt of happened in the first place
He really is not doing himself any favours for his image and the image of his company, If he thinks he is he's made a mistake there. Perhaps he should spend more of his time righting those who seem to be wronged?

LOL but unless you have photographic evidence that should should be posted up for all to see then I'm afraid that, without the evidence to support you accusations of spoonage then it could be seen as slanderous!
there for I'll have to respectfully decline your offer of work! Razz

but what has p**sed me off is how he's obtained some of my personal information?
    which isn't public knowledge?

You're email address is in your bloody signature and your name is listed in your profile.

Not to mention your CV linked through your blog which displays your mobile number and home address.

You've made it pretty public yourself LOL
