Then dont spray it! I did my very first 306 i had but was a bad idea. You need to really rub out the dimples on the plastics cause it will cause problems if you dont. Not only that the paint will crack, chip, orange peel etc. will take a lot of time and money on sandpaper and spary paint to get it looking great! The vents aint to bad but again you still need to rub down cause the paint wont stick. If you want a proper job its worth paying a professional or getting a mate in the trade to do for ya. Mine looked good.when it was done but didnt stay nice for long through chipping etc. ________________________________________ V6 Power!Faster I can go the better! Just make sure it's prepped properly, so it doesn't peel. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |

hardest part iirc was taking the 12v out without damaging iti done it on a spare centre console i got from scrappys rub down with some wet and dry then a light lick of primer rub down with some finer grade wet and dry not sure about standard colour i just went for a slightly darker grey, was a little bit different from my vents but no one ever noticed really i wouldnt mind knowing the standard colour (iv since changed my top vents to take boost gauge pod, its all the same colour now) ________________________________________ TEAM HIGH BOOST SUPERCHARGED RALLYEMy Rallye project thread |

I'll check on our system, when I by five. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |

standard colour would be the jobby!!its pretty easy, if you f**k up or end up with paint runs... just rub it down and try again i always find less is more, thin coats let them dry and leave a good amount of time between coats ________________________________________ TEAM HIGH BOOST SUPERCHARGED RALLYEMy Rallye project thread |

This is good advice. Thick aplication obviously has more potential to run and will be more prone to cracking. Also, make sure the surface is cleaned down propperly before applying any paint/laquer, as finger prints or contaminants will show up. Basic advice, I know, but its These small tips that will make an average job into a very good job. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |

I did mine and it worked superbly well - until I stuffed it up doing the lacquer. Get proper plastic primer, use 1200 wet and dry between coats, paint in a clean and dust-free environment (which is where I went wrong), and use very light coats and keep the nozzle moving. The chips probably result from poor adhesion from using the wrong/no primer. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

I've had a look on our system, for the colour. There's a s**t load of random colours that it could be. But without mixing them up I have no way of knowing. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |
