Does anyone no how to adjust the drivers door? Just put a new one on but it's sitting proud. I've moved the lock on the pillar but doesn't seem to make any diffrence! Also both widows no longer work. Any ideas?

I used to loosen the bolts a little bit (on the hinges), close the door and open it again. That usually made it sit better and then i could do the bolts up.

Did both windows work before you replaced the door?

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time

I tried adjusting a door on my old 6 and in the end I lost my rag with it. It was a replacement door after getting broken into in Spain and the new one just never fitted right. Whatever I did it always had a very slight wind noise coming in....I traded the car in soon after LOL

Get someone to help you line it up, and keep making miniscule adjustments evertually you will get it right.
Dont settle for ok either you can always adjust it a bit better!

Mine was the same.
Makes it a lot easier.
Btw do you know the trick for swapping the locks?
Could save you twenty minutes at least
Btw if both windows no longer work then the drivers switch cable is loose or the reg isnt plugged in proper.

broken wiring between body and door somewhere is most likely.

Basically for the locks get a wood screw about 3 inches long
Look at the door near the lock where it catches on the shell ( as you look at the barrel follow it around the edge of the door )and theres a small rubber bung .
Pull this out and carefully put the screw in until it makes contact with metal.
Turn the screw a few turns with a screw driver and it will catch in the clip holding the lock in place
Pull the screw and you will feel it unclip.
You can then turn the lock barrel 180 degrees (it should be very loose) to the right, pop the old lock in and then push the screw until it clips the barrel back in place
undo the screw
Refit bung
Jobs a good un

You only have to ask. Yes the windows and mirrors and locks all worked.

You will probably find that where you have removed your original door you have disturbed the wiring harness between the body and door ie the bit you unscrew from the door. Very common problem!
