A colour that I have noticed as being quite 'special' is Peugeot Babylon Red. It's metallic particles are so fine that when the sun is on it it doesn't sparkle but has a blanket chrome red effect. Also it would save altering the log book and you could get away without painting the engine bay. Being a similar shade to Diablo it wouldn't look out of place on a 306 but it would have a sophisticated modern twist. I like the thought of Indigo Blue also but would look more like a hardcore track car/ rallye model. ________________________________________ |

Whatever colour you choose I would strongly suggest you pick a standard colour not a custom mix or pearl lacquer over something else. Of course a custom colour may look cool but if ever it was damaged then it would be impossible to match. If you pick a colour that is already out there then a repair or blow in could be achieved by any bodyshop. I did a custom paintjob for a mate on his 106 gti years ago. It was silver with house of colour prismatic blue flecks in the lacquer. It was amazing until someone decided to vandalize it by kicking the panels in. There was now way I could have matched the paint. It would have had to be fully repainted. There are plenty of fancy colours out there already so you'd be wise to pick from a colour chip from the local paint supplier. Babylon red is used on the 3008 and 308. It looks like candy red in the sun. ________________________________________ |
