Out of interest, how do 50's feel terrible in your opinion? ________________________________________ |

I assume its sidewall.Try some PS3's if you want a PE2 Or get some stiff sidewall tyres like federal rsr's as I assume thats what you want report back ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

To be honest I didn't like 50's on a 6 at first but after asking on here and playing with the pressure I was happy enough with them in the end. The only tyres I've tried in a 45 is the uniroyal rainsports, this was quite a while ago on an old 205 but if you can get those for a good price like you can in 50's I'd give them a try, cracking tyre imo especially at this time of year. I've used the eagle f1 and found those to be good also but that was in a 50 profile so can't really comment on those in a 45. ________________________________________ Ryan |

^^^ Thank you for your input. I just prefer the feel of a 45 over a 50 it just suites me was it the GSD3 eagle f1 that you used? How did you find the wear rate? ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

How did you find the wear rate? see I proffer stiffer suspension vs 50 profile tyres 45's are just too harsh for the standard road especially the condition they are and winter will only make them worse for the track then I'd probably go 45's and keep the car as rigid as possible or do you mean turning 50? I wouldn't worry about it your a long way off yet! where's my tester sticker ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

I actually had the (Mis)fortune to do a direct comparison on a 205 I was looking after for a 205 forum member for a few months, when I picked the car up it had a set of 45 profile Kumho's.Even on standard suspension it was crashy, would follow ruts and camber like anything, and on the limit would snap without warning or provocation. Thankfully some part worn 50's came up in the exact same tyre, the crashiness was gone, it didn't tug about, and on the limit (which was higher) they would drift instead of snap. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Different car though eh. Although i agree with the 45's giving a stiffer ride i disagree with the ruts and camber issues you experienced. Also i am not really interested in profile size otherwise I'd of asked that in the opening thread but once again on this forum it's gone off topic. I asked a question regarding 2 different tyre brands which i would like opinions on. If my spine shatters prematurely that's my problem 45's are what i run and 45's are what i will continue to run. I think from this thread I've been given 2 proper answers. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Not really because i've given you two proper answers. If stiff is what you like get some stiff sidewalled tyres like a federal or something. You said you would get pe2's but cant, If this is so I would say ps3's are the best shout. But the federals are almost like r888's in the dry, except they are decent in the rain too ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Far different characteristics also. Anyway pointless argument. Sorry Elliot missed your one. As for the cost between 2 profiles that's not an issue as I'm not interested in 50's. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

I ran 195/45s on one of my 6s a little while ago and didnt find any problem with them, think they were yokohama S.drive's and they were fine on the road and on track. ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |
