Does anyone on here know if you can use driveshafts from a phase 1 og a xsara vts 16v on 306 gti phase 3 even though they are a bit thinner and approx 15mm shorter?
And please explain why etc thanks

Whatever the answer is with why they dont fit RE the length (If they arent the right size they they just arent right)Even if they did I dunno if abs work work, the ring would be in the wrong place, Although do phase 1 xsara's even have abs? They use a different box which I assume is why they are different lengths. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Well I was also thinking about, if buying a driveshaft from spoox or simular, they don't really write what it's for, they only write 306 gti.http://www.spoox.co.uk/en/peugeot-306/904-peugeot-306-gti-6-offside-driveshaft.html So if I buy one of these, maybe it's the wrong one, or what? |

Ok, so I went to the workshop yesturday and messured the diameter of Xsara (1998) VTS 16v driveshafts and 306 (2001) GTI PH3 driveshafts. The Xsara ones are NOTICEABLE shorter (on both sides), but not thinner as I said earlier. They both have ABS. |

Yeah, maybe it doesnt matter, but after all my problems I wouldnt dare to try my shaking problems are gone now, so that's all that matters, now I just need to try to fit my kw v2 again without it being lowered at all |

I've got sets of both GTi and VTS shafts at home so I will measure and see if you perhaps have a retarted pair for some reason.________________________________________ |

Well both me and my friends (both PH3 models) have the longer shafts, but the Xsara VTS ones are shorter than ours and so are the parts from our local partsdealer, even if he finds them using our numberplate or vin number. |

hmm, I noticed my ZX's balljoints were shorter than 306 ones, and I know the top mounts are closer together, not tried a 306 shaft on there.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
