What fan setup would people recommend for a track car?

I will be using slimline sucker fans mounted on the rad with those ziplock things.

Would two fans be necessary? Or would one fan suffice, as there shouldn't be as much slow speed driving?

10, 11, 12"?

Cheers

I was just going to get those fans from car builder solutions as I've heard good things about them.
The spal's flow a bit more according to what I've read, but I don't know if they are worth double the price?

Pretty sure I read on here that fans are pretty useless after 40mph...

I've only ever had one standard fan on mine, never been a problem.

That's also a true statement, it certainly hasn't. LOL

Stan, I'm thinking 2 fans will probably be unnecessary as I won't be sitting around in city centre traffic or need the extra cooling for the air con (unsure if you still have AC?)

No AC in my car mate, it got took out when I first went low boost back at the end of 2007. Smile

If the vehicle is solely for track use then I guess one fan will be more than adequate, so you might as well make it a larger one to take advantage of the extra space.

1 is fine, you can even use a 6" fan which will hold the temp, But as said as soon as you are moving the fans become useless so fitting anymore unless a AC road car, Turbo etc is not worth it

Actually miles, mentioning turbo has made me realise there will be an intercooler sitting in front of the rad Doh LOL

In that case, would you recommend two to help airflow?

The fan should be a "draw through" fitment anyway, so it will pull the air through regardless of an intercooler being in the way. Mine is like this also. Yes
