Bit of a long shot here, but has anyone bought, or looked at buying driveshafts from a normal width 306 kit car. Meaning not the proper maxi width. If so, could anyone enlighten me as to where they might be. Otherwise i shall keep trawling the depths of France. |

Here in the uk you can get the standard ones lengthened.Several companies around that do it, mainly serving the kit car scene. Basically they cut the shaft and add a sleeved section in the middle |

From the translation i managed to do from my French friend, i get the feeling its just the outer CV joint that i may be after.. But working with a dodgy translation, looking for something that could be anywhere is pretty tough! As it stands at the moment, my shafts arent a silly amount too short, but far enough to be a god damn pain in the arse. If there is a proper cv joint i can get hold of, id rather get a hold of that than trust my measuring to get some lengthened shafts! haha. |

Most of the cars I know of are one completely different joints and shafts (usually 930 CV's).GKN will do you a new shaft to suit but are pricy. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. If i were to go the custom route... What exact measurements would i need to take? Byt that i mean from where to where? Would it be from the face of the gearbox to the face of the hub bearing? Or is it going to be from wherever the inner cv would finish? |

Have you tried the 406 shaft, its a bit longer and I believe it has the same splines as the 306 so you can fit 306 cv joints.________________________________________ MMMM you won't like this but I just love Citroens!!!!!!! |

The 406 shafts are 4cm (more or less) longer than 306 one's.If you still want to have ABS, use 306 CV with 406 shafts...they are direct fit to each other. If you don't have abs, you can use the full 406 shafts on the 306. ________________________________________ What is a hybrid?Honda engine...Ford brakes...Peugeot chassis...Vauxhall steering... |

When my m8 had some extended for his kit car he had to supply three measurements, the length of the shaft at its normal running level, the length at full suspension drop and at full suspension lift. ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |
