Hi, so I fitted a hybrid arb tonight, splines lined up with end plates fine. The rear of the car seems so much stiffer over bumps just for the arb, plus the handling could be described as twitchy, as in if you lift off on a corner, it's going to have you! However, if I put the power down through the corner it is excellent. My current set up is kw v2 up front, 21mm tb and hybrid arb out back, solid mounts and standard old rear dampers. Could the standard dampers cause a problem? I should say that upon removing the old arb it was infact smaller than an original gti6 arb. The change is such a shock. Anyone have any advice or similar experience?Ed ________________________________________ team: Stealth |

That's pretty normal for uprating a rear anti-roll bar, it reduces the amount of potential rear grip available in exchange for less overall body roll________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. standard dampers with that lot is a fail recipe waiting to be baked.however I wouldn't call it particularly stiff at all, though removing the rubber from the beam mounts means that when you get to the edge that's it, its sliding no matter what, at least the o.e gives you some warning ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

The ARB has nothing to do with the stiffness on the back, it does as it say and helps to control roll, I run 30's in all of mine as I've never seen a huge/small gain with the Hybrid one and they are all planted as can be, mind the rear dampers are Group N one's But the main difference I think you will have is going from a base model ARB ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

It feels really planted when putting the power down, its just when I lift off, it wants to kill me! ________________________________________ team: Stealth |

As phillipm said, that's to be expected. You've increased the roll stiffness of the car, which means reduced body roll but more weight transfer to the outside wheel and thus reduced maximum lateral traction. When you put the power back down, the weight balance of the whole car shifts towards the rear and suddenly it grips again, so in effect you're balancing between having the lift-off oversteer to point the car around the corner and having traction to stop you going backwards into a hedge. ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

How are your rear beam bearings? They can cause the same problem.________________________________________ My GTi6 track projectWhite Rallye project |
