ECUs can not lock them selfs. If its been unlocked, it does not need coding to the BSI. Im assuming you have started with the basics and checked all the sensors are plugged in? |

Checked all sensors, the only thing I have found so far is fuel cut switch was no attached and is damaged on the connection so first thing is to get new one of those fitted, after that I will try compression and sparks It almost wants to go but just not quite thinking timing may be a little bit out |

can't you just bridge the inertia cutout switch to disable it?________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

I have wired enertia cut off switch cables together, checked fuel pump with 12v which made fuel purge to engine, swapped relay with my red rallye which is working, checked fuse which is ok, But still won't start. I also swapped back to the ecu that was (apparently) locked and they both do the same thing, tbh I don't no what a locked one is supposed to do/no do?If an ECU is locked then does it prevent power to fuel pump/spark plugs? Any ideas thanks P.s this is a friend of Tony who has asked me to proof read this post because apparently you guys rip him for his bad english.. |

The ECU is locked inside (in the software) it won't send any signals to injection/ignition until it is unlocked again. You only can unlock the ECU if you have a ECU with the corresponding immobiliser module and keychip or if you have a unlocked ECU and cut the wires tp the pins 48 and 27 on the ECU before refitting |

No it doesn't, is there any sensors within the plug connecting the fuel pump. Next step I think is check plugs, compression, and if I can get the pump working on its own then I will have timing checked. What ever I have got a pretty cheap black shell even if I har to change engine |

When you crank the engine, have a somebody check if there's a spark from one of the plugs, if you don't have a spark check RPM sensor |

Cam or crank sensor are likely culprits as eluded to above. 12V to the starter is required to crank, 12V to everything else is required to start!________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

As said above, you need to check whether you have a spark. This will enable you to eliminate the immobiliser and crank sensor. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Where will I find the transponder unit, my other rallye is 100% standard so should think its still fitted, just a fort could the timing be ever so slightly outAny work that was done on the engine was very poor from I can see several bolts lose and a lot missing so thinking the guy may have set the timing wrong |

EPIC PALM + FACE MOMENT.without removing the transponder unit from under the dash (in front of the gearstick console) your "unlocked" ecu from the other Rallye will simply lock when you turn the ignition on, unless its a professionally unlocked ecu with cut pins. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
