hi caps and chapettes,
bled the brakes for somebody this morning in a mk1 1999 ford focus, managed to free three of the bleed nipples but the front passenger wasn't having none of it and i snapped her off in the end so i couldnt do that one.

i've drilled plenty of bolts out before and the hardest bit is getting the pilot drill to get going bang in the centre but as this is a bleed nipple it has a hole in the middle for so much of it, unless its snapped passed that bit so if thats the case it will be easy to get it centred.
i can work my way up through drill bits and retap it (if i have the right thread type of taps) and fit a new nipple.

Is this possible as i can see no reason why not as long as i dont drill any of the threads for it in the caliper or shall he just get another caliper with a free bleed nipple?

what size and type of thread is it, if its metric ive got the taps so dont need to buy anything except a bleed nipple.

thanks andy

its a ford, scrap it Thumbs up

as with most bleed nipples it'll have a hole down the middle, so stick a bit down there, then work up the sizes, I would not go bashing a torx bit in there as they are brittle.

I'm not certain, but I think they're M8x1.25 on those.
