Need a new Valeo clutch kit for the 6 please.

Easy enough to buy one from my local ECP, but thought I would see if anyone has one they are looking to sell.

Cheers

Not only that, but ECP will supply you the wrong one. It's kinda their thing.

GSF would be where i'd go to get the clutch, more likely to get it right...

Pug again, go for a Exchange one and you should end up with a nice new Valeo one for under £100.00

As Miles says, you will prob end up with a brand new clutch from Pug for under half the price of the new kit if you ask for a service exchangeCool

My service exchange cost me just over £80,the price for a 'new' clutch kit was over £200!!!Wink

When it arrived the service exchange part number sticker was stuck over the new clutch part number sticker on the box!!!!Big grin

The parts bloke at Pug said they never send the old clutches back,as Pug never request them,so they just go to the scrap manYes
Hence Pug have no old clutches to get remanufactured so they supply you with a brand new kit, winThumbs up

Phoned up my local Peugeot dealer about an exchange clutch yesterday.

Was £145, minus a £12 surcharge when you bring your old unit back, making it £133! So nowhere near what you guys seem to have been quoted!

Just keep searching ebay I paid £70 for one delivered brand new Valeo a while ago. Look for the dealer shops and search they are there.

    Process of looking?

    Ring Ring.

OH HAI! BX16V clutch kit please. Of course - 3 digits on the reverse also? I'll be around on my way from work this afternoon.

Go to a motorfactor and insist on trade. I forget what my LUK one cost me. £70/£80 probably.

only thing is there's no CRB with that kit so you would need to either salvage your other or buy a new one, they can be £20 sometimes. i guess it depends

got to get the arm off the box yet! i removed the top and bottom bushes so i can pull it out the top a bit for room but gotta get some heat or an arsenal of drill bits on it to get the top arm off

i've asked my mate to get me a price for the clutch kit as he buys about £2k worth of coach parts a week from a supplier and gets mad discountZzZz on things so hopefully get it cheaper than that

    look, bx16v clutch: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190690299406

looks a right POS and no mention of brand but how bad can a clutch really be? LOL

Crb? If you mean release bearing there attached to the pressure plate so is only a 2 piece kit anyway and will be included.

a kit is normally the 2 plates and the CRB, and that auction specifically says it's got no CRB with it. which to me says you will need a CRB

Unless they don't realise it's already in the plate. Probably because it's not a seperate part in the box they haven't noticed. In the pic you can see it.
