Hi,

My fuel gauge stopped working today and after a little investigate I've found it's the sender...

If I go to the scrappy tomorrow, are there any other models that will work? Or does it have to be a '6? I know it has to be a phase 1 as the later cars have it built in to the pump and these are separate...

In case I can't find one, anyone got one kicking about?

Any help appreciated,
Curt

knock yerself out, its easy to cross reference Wink

I wouldn't be surprised if all phase1 level senders were identical, even diesel ones.

Xsara is different but ZX might be the same.

By doesn't work, what do you mean? My fuel gauge on the track car reads empty / fuel light on all the time.

I thought they'd be the same... but thought I'd ask.

It stopped working completely today, the gauge just dropped to the bottom. So took the sender out, the part with the float has popped out and snapped a wire. I soldered it back together and glued it in, but had trouble getting it to stick for some reason and it came back off. So just going to replace it... unless I can find my other solder and flux tomorrow then I'll try again.

I suspect any Phase 1 sender will be the same. Yes

Yeah that's what I thought, cheers.

All sorted now though, cleaned it up properly and got all the old solder off and soldered it back together Smile and put a self tapping screw in it to stop it falling out again haha
