Yup it's what he had spare materials of at work lol most he makes are mild but I have a shiny one LOL

Watching what your up to with that rear diffuser Ollie. The rear of mine is pretty similar at the minute big gaping hole in the rear bumper crying out for a diffuser which I think I'm gonna have to make from scratch having looked at what's around....

Is stainless a suitable material though? Will break rather than bend right? Not that im sure if this would be an issue for a lower brace Dunno

Right....
So had an mot the other day Sad she failed on a weapy brake line and that was it!

So kinda good news but the union that had a hair line crack in has ruined all the paint under the master cylinder....
My fault for buying second hand lines I guess.
Must have been leaking the entire time but as its such a tiny crack I didn't notice, rang think automotive and ordered a set of new lines from the t piece to the chassis legs where it then connects to the caliper braided line so fingers crossed they will turn up in a day or two along with another bottle of ap racing brake fluid

The car is now imported so now all I need to do is mot it and send all my documents off to the dvla and get a new v5 and tax it

Will you get it featured in PFC Ollie? Can't wait to see some footage of this in motion and some shifting with the satchshift.

It's fine to use. We use stainless all the time in high stress applications and it's fine. There are 3 of these stainless ones I've made and not one has had an issue. Mines been hit on the road and all sorts and as it's solid it don't bend at all. It makes a huge difference when really banging it round.

Mot tomorrow, body shop next Friday probably for a week or two then just little things like new gauges, steering wheel and fuel cap to buy and fit!

Iv done 60 mile's in it so far, hopefully do another 40 tomorrow so then I can change the oil and plumb the cooler and relocation kit up over the weekend

Then its a waiting game for the dvla to register the car and tax it

Just do it mate it's a good day and the hillclimb will be a good test for it Wink. Shame about the union.... In a s**t place as well... Always some teething problems with every project though. Not gonna take the engine out again to repaint the bulkhead are you LOL

Who's car is that Aaron Whistle

And yes stainless is fine to make pretty much anything out of. The bar is too strong to crack.... One of these braces has been known to smash a kerb to bits..... Unlike certain other ones that bend like cheese Thumbs up also clears my engine and sump easily but I Havnt hit anything with it even once.

As soon as the new garage is built the engine will be coming out over the winter to paint the bay again Sad when I do things it has to be right no matter how long it takes

I will make use of the car over the summer and fingers crossed it will be at FCS and pug fest but im not guaranteeing anything
