are your inner wings cut at all to take the wheels or let it go low enough?

The inner wing has been trimmed but I didn't raise it at all, just have to except that I will have a big arch gap on the front, you can see in the earlier threads how much has been trimmed etc.
It had 18" split rims on it when I got it and looked pretty good.
I would like to go lower but I think the suspension geometry would need altering a lot more to over come the bump steer and roll centring.

To get the wheel to sit nicely in the front wings half the rear wheel would be up in the rear arch to make the car level unless you have mega rake, as yours is rwd I guess the rear would be a tad higher than the front once you have set the rake anyway

I'm struggling with the same problem! The dimma kit is cut so high that even though the car itself is "slammed" it looks almost like a jeep. :/

If you find a reasonable solution, please share! Thumbs up:

Well...it's a rally car kit, it needs large suspension travel.

Looking really good!

Could you not get a decent coachworks to extend the arches?

Have you considered spraying the oil filler cap gloss black? It looks a bit dull compared to all the other shiny bits!

Needs be be in a glass case.Love
Does that ceramic coating work like a heat wrap and help keep engine bay temps down?

Thanks for the update Rich, loving the exhaust manifold too, bit late now but maybe a bit to many black parts but should still look cool in the white engine bay!

Been a while since iv updated this and unfortunately due to me being away I havent got much to tell you Sad
The straight cut gear set has arrived so as soon as I get home I will be getting the box reconditioned and the new gears fitted into a nice clean fresh painted box.
This time whilst im away iv restrained from sending my mates to go and collect any more cars or parts so I wanted to buy something to make my self happy, iv got all the bits that I need to relocate my oil filter now even though its no use to me out here lol (trying to upload pics but its taking ages)
My mate is currently painting the bumpers, skirts and sorting out the rest of the carbon so it looks like the carbon roof and hopefully he will send me pics once that is done!
I have had another set of hubs machined ready for when I get back and also sorting out a wide track kit for the rear so I can buy some new wheels Smile

looking good mate as always. Thought you said you weren't gonna be doing the long stints away any more? Or is the money just to tempting Wink shame you cant crack on and get it finished really.

What exactly does your mate do to the carbon to get it looking the dogs danglies? I've gotta strip and re lacquer my carbon bonnet over the next couple of months any tips?
Best way to get the s**t stuff off, what lacquer / resin to use?

The money is too good to say no to unfortunately Sad
He just rubs it down and uses a ceramic lacquer like he used on the rest of the car, its the kind of stuff they use on high end car's apposed to the normal stuff used on production cars, it costs more than the paint but is worth every penny

shame I wont make it to fcs again tho Sad
