Added to that, how much for the 180 gearbox with Quaife diff? Mileage, history of the box would help. I might be interested in the Box

Its not that its not worth the hassle, its just that i dont want all the hard work thats gone into making the conversion to be a waste i.e the driveshafts, engine mounts, loom etc if you know what i mean.

Part of me really wants this in my 205 but I can't help think that it will be ruining a perfectly good old skool original hot hatch ?

Does all the dials on the dash work with this conversion ?

Well it depends what you want, if you want an origonal unmodified 205 then anything you do to it could be classed as ruining it, but if you wantacar that will look the same but will have lots of power and have superb handling (the 180 engine is very light) coupled with great reliability then i would highly recommend this conversion. As for the dials, the speedo, temperature, rev counter and fuel gauge all worked, i cant remember if the oil gauges worked tho tbh

Sorry for the delay in responding, been really busy, ok i would be willing to split the diff and kit to sell in 2 seperate sales and i would just keep the ecu :-)

Quite a bit, they come in at around the 95-100 kilo mark, gti6 is a decent chunk more.

Much stiffer bottom end due to its design, a full ladder main cap assembly, much like the alloy TU engine, not 5 separate caps, means a lot less bottom end flex and vibration.

They do produce more torque than an XU as standard.
