There was a guy called Peter Wilkinson who was selling a bright yellow phase 1 306 like that a few years back. It had one of the 405 supertouring engines in it and was tres rapide to say the least. I almost bought it but decided to hang on for a btcc 306 as the actual car wasn't that special, although I bet it weighed f**k all. I think the car in the video is that car, high spec mi16 engine in it and bright yellow to boot. I used to have some pictures of it but they must be on an old computer or something as I can't find them. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

welshpug! wrote: I was wondering that too, but no I don't know many roundy roundy cars! I don't think it is, look at the A pillar bar on the left side of the car, yours goes straight to the bulkhead and the one in that race car is a dash dodger. Thought you still had that shell kicking about Is it a dash dodger, from the look of the in-car footage, it looks as so the dash has been cut around the cage (but still goes straight down to the footwell) Does this still constitute a dash dodge? Or does it need to go straight to the bulk head? ________________________________________ Team: Moonstone GTI-6™Team: ian7675 wrote: Remember....a 6 isn't just a car, it's a part time job |

You said the race car was a dash dodger, but have now just said it isn't after looking at the footage again. So does that mean it could in fact be the car from Yippee's photo ... The cage in Yippee's car does begin to have a slight bend to it just before it goes out of sight, so maybe it bent down behind the dash towards the footwell (just like the one in the race footage?) ________________________________________ Team: Moonstone GTI-6™Team: ian7675 wrote: Remember....a 6 isn't just a car, it's a part time job |
