My pug is getting stripped and just need to check what i can ditch etc.

firstly do i need the alarm sensors in the a pillars and the infa red sensor next the the front interior light? im guessing im dont. not fussed about keeping the centeral locking.

And what are the little black boxes next to the front seats on the outer sills? im guessing there something to do with the seat belts.

Also if anyone else knows what i can ditch without screwing with other systems please inform me Big grin . its at the point of no seats, door cards, roof lining etc but just trying to figure out what wires arent needed to tidy it all up, ive done the b pillars back but the front is a bit more complex lol.

Are you intending on keeping the standard alarm?

IIRC various boxes are alarm, central locking, immobiliser, some kind of weird earth box under the rear seat. I binned the lot apart from the earth box, and make sure your immobiliser is de-activated before you remove it eh Wink

Most stuff you're safe to remove without messing anything up. Just don't bin anything before you try starting it Wink

There's nothing I can think of that can't just be plugged back in - basically remove a box, see what doesn't work. It'll be central locking or something. If it's something you wanted, plug it back in. All good, just start ripping it all out like a maniac.

Any plug that doesn't attach to something in the back of the car can be separated from the loom, followed back to the dash or bulkhead multi plug and chopped out. Disconnect the battery to prevent shorting out any permanent lives.

Pretty sure drivers' rear quarter is central locking. You tried unplugging it and seeing what doesn't work?
