Was at Bedford Autodrome on friday night, and after the first session or two I noticed a very subtle change brake feel, which has remained. Basically the there is more pedal travel before biting. The obvious answer to me is that the pads have worn down a touch and so the pedal has to travel further before they bight, but I can't help thinking that I wouldn't discern that, and it would be gradual.

I did wonder, as I was braking into the first bend of the next session and finding what appeared to be reduced braking effort, if the pads had gassed a bit and left a film on pad surface, but having now put in an evening on track and over a hundred road miles i'm sure that must have clean up the pads again.

Any thoughts? Boiled fluid?? (but presumably that would condense again and return to normal?) Tired lines? Dunno

Could be you've just started to boil the fluid, did you do a nice slow cooling down lap before the end of the first session?

I would take a guess that the fluid started to boil and now is in need of a change. When was the last time it was changed?

I would say it's worth another change now, you've done 3 trackdays with it. Yes

Try changing it and doing a full bleed of the system. You shouldn't be getting a longer pedal as the pads wear down as the pistons should be moving further out of the calipers as the pads wear to compensate. Smile
