Morning chaps.Smile

Would anyone have the Torque figures for the exhaust fixings from manifold down to centre section pleaseUnsure I want to check they are all tight.
Reason being when i bought the car it has had new centre and rear genuine pug parts and the backbox sounded so sweet, but now its a bit louder and when engine is first started it sounds like front centre pipe join is blowing until engine is warmed up.
I took it to local exhaust place and the guy said the joins on centre and rear are perfectly tight and sealed Dunno He said as its a bit louder until engine warms it may just be manifold noise resonating down engine bay and out under carDunno

Its just an M6 locking nut that bottoms out on the shoulder, so just do it up by feel.

LOL

You'd be doing well to tighten the manifold-to-downpipe bolts from under the bonnet. Yes

LOL

It is there, just at the rear of the bay, tucked underneath the head. It is difficult to see in a way as the engine is tilted backwards but you can see parts of the 'Octopus' style manifold. Yes

I like the way the '6' is setup in that way. Yes

Gives you plenty of space at the front to do whatever you want and yet the exhaust side is nicely hidden away, you never really have to touch/fettle with it anyway. Wink

Were you kneeling on the cam covers by any chance with your rear end in the air to achieve that? LOL

would be much easier if the engine was upright but obviously the bonnet would be much higher. I just hope my manifold never cracks!
