Toyo T1R Proxes - 195/50 R15 82V TL (OFFER)

Just to give anyone who wishes to purchase car tyres that they are on offer at the moment from Camskill.

Usual priceis around £36.40. They were on offer when I checked on Wednesday at around £32 per tyre. Today I've just ordered four at only £29.89 each. Bargain!

Find someone with a Costco card, the michelins are £60 a corner fitted in that size. (pe2)

My local fitter does the pe2's for 66 fitted. Worth every penny too. Smile

Just about to purchase 2 Pe2's from Camskill Thumbs up Got em on the car all round at the moment & there amazing,the car doesn't let go in the dry or wet

They just to be a tyre for commuting, not for track?

Well I have a pair of toyo T1r s which were fine until I realised they're almost completely bald around the edge (bas**rd tracking)

So looking to replace, but funds are tight and I doubt hoon around (much) so just wandering how tight I can get away with being

Although I just seen PE2's on black circles for £50 delivered (and everyone raves about them)

So do people just find a friendly kwik fit to put them on? (I'll need to get tracking done too)


Would anyone have use for a pair of toyos with plenty of tread left (just illegal on the edge) otherwise I'll bin them?

I fit my own at work now I have C5's, but previously, my mate at Kwik-fit did them. He had a dturbo S and made a good job balancing Smile

My Toyo's that were on the C5's wore quickly at the edge, I drove a fair few miles with them as slicks, but I was always aware it would land me points and/or a fine!

Exactly, MOT is coming up soon anyway so I'll get them changed, just wandered if anyone in here would want my old tyres, they'll be slung otherwise

Think I'll probably go for 50 profile in the PE2s, and get round to eventually lowering the front 30mm lol

Will I be okay with 50 front and 55 rear, temporarily?

Yeah Smile You'll not notice under normal driving conditions I don't think

Could anyone quickly tell me whether the Falken Zeix tyres are any good?

Any scare stories surrounding them?

Not as good as PE2's ?

back to the OP - i had T1R's (195/50/15) on my six for 14 months, the same pair, and covered about 17k in them. they had a bit of wear on the edges but still had a couple of MM left, and i gave them death a lot of the time. couldn't fault them whatsoever. my friend has them (although diff size) on his Seat Leon and said they're s**te and he wore them out easily

Strange. Maybe they are a super inconsistent manufacturer. As I said I only got 4k from the front and 7 from the back. Grip was okay. But the pilot's are still going strong after near 30k. Albeit I changed them round to ware out at the same time.

I've just bought these in 16s for my rear as they were on special. See how I get on. Hasn't rained yet, but if they're rubbish I will wish I went for rainsport2s.
