Got a slight problem, had a rolling road day a few weeks back and I had a reading of 144.1 hp which I thought was pretty poor considering I've got a standard engine with just a k and n in standard airbox with magnex full system (3"Wink .can anyone help me with this situation?

Was that reading at the wheels or at the fly?

Assuming it's had a good service (i.e. oil, spark plugs, filters etc) then it's pressure test time.

More often than not when you're getting silly figures it's a s**t rolling road.

Is that a possibility?

Almost certainly that then. No point chasing phantom losses until you're sure there's a problem Yes

Tbh rolling roads are pointless unless you're there real-time mapping a 500bhp evo or something forced induction where you can see real gains. They're not particularly accurate on piddly little cars like ours, and all you're really paying for it a graph telling you what you already know.

And you could just do that in Excel if you were that bothered Dunno

I reckon there's nothing wrong with your car until you know otherwise.

Yeah.
Tbh with a power reading that bad if it was true it would probably do 0-60 in like high 8 seconds? I'm sure you would feel.

Mate seriously, you need to *know* before you start chasing phantom issues.

Give it a service, if you don't think there's a problem then there's probably not a problem. If you were happy with it the day before the rolling road, why the problem now?
