Rubbish pic but you can see how I moved the number plate down and drilled holes in the bumper. Keeps it supa cool and looks a bit more aggressive.

I T cut the paint and polished it but then POW grit and snow made it dirty.

Will get the 1.9 Speedlines sprayed up glossy black to go on this weekend, hopefully the Parada Spec 2s up front Will stop the wheels from spinning up so easily!

Pops and bangs like crazy now and I think the 1.4 Xsi box is a lot better suited to the engine than the stupidly short 1.3 Rallye box.

I hear ya guys, read plenty of reviews about how bad they are in the wet
/ cold but they came up at a good offer and I tend to only drive spirited on dry and sunny days . New engine makes it so much more relaxing and easy to drive too with smoother power good driveablily at slow speeds.

Have it a good clean lean today, paintwork came up a treat with some Tcut.
Comments welcome, ignore the Gangamg style sticker in the window, it was a joke.

As pointed out on the Rallye Register the head on the engine has a legendary "2-prong" head on it from the 1999/2000 crossover cars.

You can see the clearly the two prongs that stick out of the head BUT also that they are solid and haven't been drilled and tapped to take the pipework from later L4 emissions/3-plug ECU cars that have the pump that blows fresh air into exhaust gases to clean up emissions on startup.

6% better flow rate and better porting on these heads.

Is that 4000 RPM in 5th or had you forgotten to change up?

I bet that doesn't get annoying on a motorway run. Erm?

1.4 Xsi gearbox, 5th gear! She's def not a motorway cruiser!
Xsi gearbox is almost as short as the 1.3 box, think it's like 7mph more in 5th iirc.

How ya doing rev counter counter! been fine since turns out I was not revving it that high at all before! Getting old now ha.
205 wheels are now in their final colour, glossy grey. Centre cap lions in Renault Sunflower yellow and lego dust caps.
Gave the Pugsport a polish while waiting for paint to dry.

Ignore the duct tape on the rear arch, had to tape it down while it sticks on properly with tiger seal.

gearbox emptying the oil all over my beautifully wrapped exhaust manifold. Smelled real good! Luckily its only £9.00 from Peugeot Sports and i have had the gearbox off less than two months ago for a new clutch so it will only take a few hours.
Might as well fit my brake pads and discs at the same time.

Annoying thing is my clutch (less than 500miles) will probably need replacing as it got covered in oil and is now slipping due to that. Ah well!

Anyways I have a gti as a run about till I have a day off to put a new clutch and input seal on.

Car is potentially for sale too.

Edit-
Low mileage Vts gearbox and a Brand new clutch kit going on this weekend along with front discs and pads, uprated door speakers,6x9s and a headunit.

Then another 6 months tax and it's for sale.
Pm me with any enquiries.

So I sold my expensive to run 306 Rallye

and bought this back! Why? Because I know it well, did the conversion of suspension refresh bla bla. Anyway previous owner put in a 12 point cage, buckets, harnesses and Satchshift.

Also had absolutely no soundproofing or interior. Fair to say it feels pretty light and quicker.

So guess what? I'll put all the heavy stuff back in! Carpet, soundproofing, stereo etc. Battery in the boot and spare tire too to help with balance.

So this is now back with me:-) way cheaper to run than the 306 Rallye I just sold.
180 miles on £15 back home in the 106!

The 106 has been taken good care of, made it quicker by ripping the interior out. Loud and fast now!

Spec is the same apart from now no interior apart from Safety Devices 12 point cage
Cobra Monaco bucket seats and harnesses
Satchshift

So the Rev counter stopped working as per usual french car fashion. Then just now decided to work again. Woo

Then disaster struck.. I usually LOL at other people's stories about bonnets flipping up bla bla.. Hit a pheasant wanted and then BAM!
FAIL. Flipped the bonnet and put a few biiig cracks in the windscreen and dented the roof.
new windscreen on the way. Just p**sed off about a small dent on the roof!

So gutted it's just sitting there until I get a new windscreen on Friday.
Rev counter fixed itself and the Satchshift.. Just wow! There is less than a few mm of play in the lever and about 5-6 inches throw gear to gear. Call me Sebastian Loeb from now on please! The girlfriend looked at my car in terror, and I quote "it doesn't look safe, is it safe?".

I hear ya. Buuut my insurance said no more changes of vehicle for three months. Three in one months and they are now getting a bit fed up, asking if I'm a trader! LOL
I have just purchased a monthly bus pass and the Rallye is on the drive, sort of in bits getting as much soundproofing materials back in.

I've ordered a 206 battery box and fixings to mount battery in the boot. Washer bottle will join it there shortly.
