Hello all,

Newbie here and seeking some advice.

I fitted a new exhaust on my 306 XSI and noted the chrome rear exit pipe was a bit tight up against the bumper trim; As a result it is melting the trim and the vibration can be hear inside the car.

Is there a quick fix for this ie adjustment bolts, bigger rubber hangers; I read that I would need to possibly bend / hammer the metal hangers but would like to attempt that as a last resort.

Thanks

Yup just bend down the hangers at the rear or all 3 if needed its not that jar to do with a bar or something.

As said above; just tweak the hangers on the silencer. I find the best tool for the job is an adjustable spanner. If you close the jaws up onto the hanger you can apply leverage to bend them with ease and precision. You should be able to this whilst it is still hanging off the rubbers.

Don't let your bumper get melted. That would be a shame.

Yup or big pair of grips if you can get them in there Wink much easier with the exhaust removed though but more effort.
