Hi, I want to replace my Alphasonik PFZ 692 6 x 9's, I've loved having these speakers in my Rallye, so replacements must be of the same quality, if not better. Got about £200 to spend.Cheers P.S. my setup is: Pioneer Deh-9600mp Headunit, JBL gto 6000 1100w amp, front are Alpine SXE-1325S. |

how are you using the amp? aka what on which channels?if you don't have a sub, use the 2x75w channels on the front en bridge the 4x50w to get 2x150w and get a pair of Resonant Engineering 6*9"s => RE Audio RE 6x9 FR http://www.audiosavings.com/products/6x9-Car-Speakers/NEW-RE-AUDIO-400-WATT-6x9-3-WAY-CAR-SPEAKERS-RE6X9-FR/RE6X9FR.aspx used&tested them in several setups, they need +100rms to perform at best, 150rms is perfect for them. ________________________________________ Team WheelwhoreTeam Limited Edition Astor 306 Francorchamps RIP Virtual Blue 208 GTi quote: I this place. I'd spend the money on something better up front than the SXE's to be honest. They're very budget speakers and although they look professional, in reality they don't sound all that great. Also, don't bother with 6x9s. I'm sure someone will be along to flame me for this, but unless you can get some non coaxial 6x9s within your budget, just get some 15cm components or even 20cm if you can afford them, and put the tweeters further back in the parcel shelf than the main driver. Coaxials are convenient if you're short on space or just want to slap something a little better in the stock mountings, but for quality of sound they're truly awful. ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

You should hear my standard JBL 6*9 in the coupe now after the headunit has been played with. Properly good and very good range on them, no sub needed!________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I just bought these for the 205, when they turned up I trial fitted them in my 306 for testing (replacing my Rainbow 6 x 9s which were really expensive) and they are absolutely brilliant - the bass they chuck out is immense. They have to be amped up though! They are still in the 306 and the Rainbows can find a new home.Ebay link ________________________________________ Black 306 GTi-6 175.8BHP SCA Norwich ProjectTopaz Blue 205 CTI |

I had that same JBL´s in my 306 XS, and they are really amazing! First i had them straight to the stereo, without an amp, and they already sounded great. Then, i added a Kenwood Amp, 60 w RMS per channel, and they sounded amazing!!! Although those are 100w RMS, so i still was short of power.PD: With that money, i´d buy an excellent pair of components for the front doors, and put those alpines behind. You can go for some Infinity Kappa Perfect 5.1 ( 5.25" ) or 6.1 ( 6.5" ), those are AMAZING!!! |
