Hello everyone am new here Whistle
As most of you know I have just broke my gti6 Track toy and bought a saxo VTS rolling shell off a mate what i was planning on fitting my 6 engine into but after looking into it there was just too much work to be put into it for such a poor result! engine sits too far over the front wheels making the handling crap and not much use for track Sad
Anyway av bought a black VTS rolling shell for my new project. It will be my new track toy, I was planning on keeping to a minimum budget off £1000 as i only needed engine, exhaust and brake lines but that didnt go to plan Doh I have just been away for 2 weeks and as i only bought the car the week before i went i didnt really have time to get anything done so now i am back i am just on rounding up parts ready to fit at the weekend and through next week when i get a bit of time. I had the dash flocked just before i went away and ordered a full braded brake lines kit to run through the car with a wilwood bias valve as i will be getting rid of the ABS. My plan was to run the 406 v6 brembos with xantia v6 288mm discs what i had fitted on my 306 but the day before i went on holiday i got a last minute bid on a set of wilwood M16 calipers what will get rid of the awful brembo squeal :wall:
I have fitted my pro 1.2 wrapped in yoko parada spec 2s what i had on my 306 as well and that was it before i went on holiday.
Since i have been back on saturday i have been busy buying more bits and spending too much money haha. To save the long boring read i will just leave you all with a spec list and let the pics do the talking.

Enjoy Thumbs up

VTS engine 75k miles
Sierra cosworth Alloy radiator
Saxo diesel header tank
Compbreak Quickshift
Wilwood callipers
Wilwood bias valve
Braded brake lines
ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid DOT 4
Pro 1.2s
TRS Tow strap
Magune Triple Six bucket seats
TRS 3point harnesses
Baffles oil catch tank
Flocked dash
Carbon fibre airbag blank
Battery relocation kit with cut off switch
Black masked headlights
Digital Oil pressure and volt gauge
Magnex de-cated exhaust

Think thats everything so far

Welcome back Eddy Wave

The Saxo vts is a cool little pocket rocket and there is some big power to be had out of that little engine Yes

Thats what i have been thinking about, one of the reasons why i went for an alloy rad instead of a standard one. Head work, cams and mapped will be getting done 1st tho then over the winter i will look into turbo conversion Thumbs up

Picked the car up yesterday after work. I can finally get started fitting all my bits Smile
Started my removing all the sound deadening from under the bonnet, rubbing down the and giving it a lick of paint to tidy it up. They refitted the manifold and loom ready to fit the engine. Before the engine went it i had to make up a new battery relocation kit as the 306 one didnt fit.
Engine is in anyway, just got shafts, exhaust and front end to fit today then hopefully i can get the car up and running once its been serviced

Bad bits: Wilwoods are going to have to be sold Sad The powerlite calipers are too small to run GTi6 discs so they will be getting sold and i will just run GTi6 brakes for the now.

Also still waiting on swampy sending me my brake kit! Been 4 weeks now Angry

I would have thought that GTi6 brakes with a GTi6 master cylinder and decent pads & discs will be more than sufficient to stop a saxo even on track. No??

Update on what i have got done over the weekend. After getting the car home, i went down the garage and picked up most of the parts i needed to fit Laugh my ass off looks like i have just drove straight through a scrap yard and out the other side Huh?

Engine was cleaned up and loom swapped over,
new manifold fitted and the one on the engine was f**ked!
Cleaned up the engine bay, removed all sound proofing and gave it a lick of paint.
Fitted the engine and shafts,
New oil filter and belts,
Black masked my headlights,
chopped the front bumper,
fitted battery relocation kit,
trail fitted alloy rad,
bolted on front wings.
